Horse anatomy - (greek. anatome — intersect), science of the structure of the horse and its component parts. Its founder is Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) among his works "Hippotomiya" (Anatomy of a horse) is preserved. Described in detail by Ivanov S.V. in the "Book about the horse."

ALLURE (from the French “allure” – “gait”) - a form of translational motion of the horse, in other words - the way of movement.
The following natural gaits are typical for horses: simple walk, trot, ambling gate, gallop. These forms of translational motion can be produced by the horse from the birth on its own.
But the horse can be additionally trained any particular gait. Usually horses are taught elements of the higher school of riding - such as piaffe, passage, Spanish gait, pirouette and others. All this is achieved by a special training. Please do not mix up gait with any fast rapid movement of the horse, because usual step is also considered as a gait.

TACK ROOM - room in the barn for storage of horse equipment.

ARENA – (lat. Arena – sand), in ancient Rome oval rings powdered with sand on which chariot races, gladiators fights and other performances took place. In the present time - place for bullfighting in Spain and other countries. Circus arena (ring) has circular shape and a standard diameter (13 m) providing performance of all kinds of equestrian shows.

AZILIAN - (Arab. Asil - purebred, noble), purebred Arabian horse of highly valuable origin. Term “Azilian” is used in some foreign countries and domestic literature dedicated to Arabian horses.

ALBINO - (from Lat. Albus - white), horse whose skin, hair, eye cornea and hoof horn do not have pigment. Full Albino are extremely rare. Partial albino with white markings or pinto color are spread quite widely.
